Description
Liu Bao Dark – Traditional Aged Guangxi Dark TeaLiu Bao Dark tea (六堡茶) is a traditional aged dark tea from Wuzhou City in Guangxi Province, China. It has a deep, woodsy aroma and a moss-like character that comes from a fermentation process similar to that of traditional ripe pu-erh from Yunnan. Liu Bao has been enjoyed for centuries and is treasured by dark tea lovers for its smooth, grounding depth. Traditionally described as "red, strong, aged and mellow, " Liu Bao lives up to its reputation. Our Liu Bao Dark has thin, tight, black-brown leaves with an aroma that recalls a mossy, damp pile of autumn leaves. Once steeped, the deep reddish-brown liquor opens with woodsy notes, moving into bark and moss flavors before finishing with autumn leaves and roasted buckwheat. Tasting Notes
